GOYANG (Korea) - Chris Goulding started the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers Window 2 by making history.
He closes out his November window campaign by again by breaking another record on his way home to Australia.
Against Thailand, Goulding set the record for most three-pointers made in a Continental Cup Qualifiers, drilling 9 three-pointers with ease early in the fourth quarter.
The record was well-celebrated, but lasted only just over 24 hours with Bahrain's Ahmed Haji destroying Goulding's record by going 11-11 from beyond the three-point line to start the game.
And maybe Goulding saw that, because in Australia's next game against Korea, he fired away for 10 three-pointers to get the Boomers another win and a confirmed spot at the FIBA Asia Cup next year.
While the single-game record is still Haji's to hold, Goulding now holds the record for most three-pointers made in a two-game span of a Continental Cup Qualifiers window since the start of the new qualification system in 2017.
And it's always nice to be just only one of two players to make double-digits threes in a Continental Cup Qualifiers game.
Now the big question remains: Will the record still hold with Ahmed Haji having one game left against UAE?
