ABIDJAN (Cote d'Ivoire) - The draw for the 2025 FIBA AfroBasket will take place on Saturday 19 April in Luanda, Angola, the FIBA Regional Office for Africa has announced.
This year's 16-nation AfroBasket will take place from 12-24 August.
It's the fourth time that Angola has hosted the now quadrennial tournament, after 1989, 1999 and 2007 when it was a biennial showpiece.
The teams that have qualified for the continent's premier basketball tournament include Angola (hosts), Tunisia (reigning champions), Guinea, Cape Verde, Libya, Nigeria, Uganda, Senegal, Cameroon, Rwanda, Madagascar, Côte d'Ivoire, Egypt, South Sudan, DR Congo and Mali.
