    Can Singapore's best find redemption?

NEW TAIPEI CITY (Chinese Taipei) - There's nothing more that Adroit would want in their upcoming Basketball Champions League Asia-East (BCL Asia-East) 2025 campaign than to win - and go as far as they could.

    History

The club has been playing in Singapore's National Basketball League (NBL) since 2013 and went on to win their maiden title the following year, completing their story after a runner-up finish in their first go-around.

They'd win their second NBL crown nine years later by besting the Engtat Hornets, and that proved to be their ticket to the inaugural BCL Asia Qualifiers in 2024 for their first foray in a FIBA club competition.

However, their BCL Asia Qualifiers run didn't go as planned. They lost all three of their assignments, two of which against the Ulaanbaatar Xac Broncos of Mongolia and Hi-Tech Basketball of Thailand.

Fortunately for them, Adroit did manage to defend their NBL crown just last September, earning themselves a spot in the BCL Asia-East 2025 - with the aim, of course, to show that they're capable of succeeding.

    Players to watch

There will be holdovers from last year's team set for another stint such as former Singapore youth team standout Tor Lok Yao and men's team veterans Larry Liew and Leon Kwek, to name some.

Expected to see action as well for the club is another seasoned internationalist in Delvin Goh, who for the longest time has been the lead big man - and arguably the face - of Singapore basketball.

Adroit are situated in Group B with, coincidentally, Hi-Tech and Ulaanbaatar, as well as newcomers New Taipei Kings, whom they will play in their first game on April 29. To see their complete schedule, click here.
