The live stream season tipped off on Wednesday with a FIBA U16 Women's Americas Championship clash between Mexico and Puerto Rico and the game recorded 165,000 views, 3,700 likes and 3,000 shares on Facebook.
More than 25 youth events are taking place this year and 1,000 games across all continents can be viewed for free on FIBA's Facebook, Twitter and YouTube channels.
