FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2023 slogan unveiled; Dragic, Oblak announced as Ambassadors
MUNICH (Germany) - With the countdown to FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2023 hitting the six months to go mark, 'Dare to Dream' has been unveiled as the official slogan for the event.
MUNICH (Germany) - With the countdown to FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2023 hitting the six months to go mark, 'Dare to Dream' has been unveiled as the official slogan for the event.
Encapsulating the mindset of having the courage and determination to succeed and achieve even the loftiest of aspirations, the slogan sets the stage for next year's flagship event, which will take place from June 15-25, 2023 in Tel Aviv, Israel and Ljubljana, Slovenia.
In addition to the announcement of the slogan, Final Phase hosts Slovenia presented the men's national team captain and FIBA EuroBasket 2017 MVP Goran Dragic and Jan Oblak, Atletico Madrid star and captain of the Slovenian football national team, as the Ambassadors of the event.
"This is such a special tournament and I'm happy our country gets to host these amazing women athletes who continue to prove they’re the best in the world," said Dragic.

Oblak, the brother of the Slovenia guard Teja Oblak, also expressed his excitement.
"I can't wait for the best European women's basketball players to gather in Ljubljana next June," said Oblak. "I believe all games will be a real treat and a real spectacle."
FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2023 will be the 39th edition of the tournament and marks the fourth time the competition will take place in more than one country.
Serbia are the reigning champions after winning the 2021 event that was held in France and Spain.
