    FIBA WASL statement on Orthodox Beit Sahour's non-participation in 2023/2024 season

    BEIRUT (Lebanon) - The FIBA Regional Office Asia has announced that Palestine’s Orthodox Beit Sahour will no longer take part in FIBA West Asia Super League 2023/2024 season.

    BEIRUT (Lebanon) - In view of the current severe security situation in the Middle East, the FIBA Regional Office Asia has announced that Palestine’s Orthodox Beit Sahour will no longer take part in FIBA West Asia Super League 2023–2024 season.

    Orthodox Beit Sahour, Champions on the 2022–2023 Palestinian season, were drawn in Group B alongside FIBA WASL West Asia League champion Al Riyadi, Iraq’s Al Shorta, and Syria’s Al Wahdaa.

    FIBA Regional Office Asia will continue to monitor the situation as it remains committed to prioritizing the safety and well-being of all participants and stakeholders.
