XI'AN (China) - As the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament 2024 draws near, the question on every Chinese fan's mind is: who will be their best player in the tournament?

Here, we will take a closer look at three players who are likely to make a big impact on the court in Xi'an: Li Meng, Li Yueru, and Han Xu. The trio combined to make China the only national team across the Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournaments to have three players in the Smart Player Power Rankings, so it will be exciting to see who will be their best performer.

Make sure everyone knows who you will be supporting and cast your vote below!

    Li Meng

Li Meng is a bona fide star in international basketball. It's not a stretch to describe her as one of the best players in the world. Remember that she averaged 14.4 points, 4.8 assists, and 4.4 rebounds as China conquered the FIBA Women's Asia Cup 2023. With her speed, agility, and scoring ability, Li Meng is sure to be a key player for China in the Xi'an OQT.

    Han Xu

Han Xu has the size and length to dominate in the paint as she's demonstrated time and again. In addition, she is a skilled ball handler and passer who can create scoring opportunities for her teammates. Han put all of that on display when she was named TISSOT MVP of the FIBA Women's Asia Cup 2023. Her talent and experience will be invaluable for China in the WOQT, and she should be the most imposing force out there.

    Li Yueru

Li Yueru is another player to watch out for in the tournament. She is one of the tallest players on the Chinese team and will form a fearsome twin-tower combination alongside Han. After missing the Asia Cup last year, Yueru is bent on making a splash at the OQT. Her ability to control the boards will be crucial for China's plans to qualify for the Olympic Games.

    Someone else?

China are Women's World Cup Finalists and ranked second in the FIBA World Ranking Women, presented by NIKE for a reason. They are very good as a whole. The trio noted above are stars, but there's plenty of firepower throughout the entire pool. Whether it's Huang Sijing, Wang Siyu, or Li Yuan, it seems like almost anyone could step up and be China's best player here in Xi'An.
