FIBA Olympic Pre-Qualifying Americas Tournament 2023 schedules are defined
MIAMI (United States) - The FIBA Regional Office in the Americas announced the schedule of the FIBA Olympic Pre-Qualifying Americas Tournament 2023.
MIAMI (United States) - The FIBA Regional Office in the Americas announced the schedule of the FIBA Olympic Pre-Qualifying Americas Tournament 2023 that is set to be played in Santiago del Estero and La Banda, Argentina between August 14 and 20.
The eight national teams that participated in the Americas Qualifiers for the 2023 FIBA World Cup will play in the 2023 FIBA Olympic Pre-Qualifying Americas Tournament, but did not qualify for the World Cup. These teams will be divided into two groups.
Argentina, Bahamas, Cuba, and Panama face each other in Group A, which will be played at the Ciudad de Santiago del Estero Stadium. Chile, Colombia, Virgin Islands, and Uruguay will compete in Group B at the Vicente Rosales de La Banda Stadium. Argentina will also play a game at La Banda, they will meet Cuba on August 17 at Estadio Vicente Rosales.

The two best teams in each group advance to the Semifinals, which will take place in Santiago del Estero. The winners will play in the Final and the winner will get the only available spot to join the 19 FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 teams to compete in the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournaments that will take place from July 2-7, 2024.
