    Australia v Serbia

One or two things that Serbia know about Australia is that they are big, talented and present many challenges. The Opals will enter the contest aiming to reach the Semi-Finals for the sixth consecutive time, while the Europeans are making their Olympics debut. The Serbians aren't just happy to have reached the Last Eight and will be looking to make history.

    Spain v Turkey

When these two teams faced off at the FIBA Women's World Championship two years ago, Spain upset tournament hosts Turkey in the Semi-Finals. Although the Spaniards enter the Quarter-Finals with a 4-1 mark, Turkey seem to have regained their joy, putting two straight defeats behind them by winning their last three games. This one could go either way but Spain may have a slight advantaged on the basis of their rotation and depth.

    USA v Japan

The Japanese would rather face any other team in the Quarter-Finals than the five-time reigning Olympic champions USA. But they have made it clear they will step on the court and do their best. The Americans not only have more talents at their disposal, but they also are better equipped. And having four-time Olympians Diana Taurasi, Sue Bird, and Tamika Catchings give them a tremendous advantage when it comes to key decision-making.

    France v Canada

If there are two teams that know each other well at the Rio Olympics, it is France and Canada. Seven of 12 Canadians play in France's top flight women's league. In the build-up to the Rio Olympics, Canada beat France 71-63 but with a place in the Semi-Finals at stake, the French -silver medalists at London 2012 - emerge as favourites.
