RIO DE JANEIRO (Rio 2016 Olympic Games) - Diana Taurasi has entered the Rio Olympics holding the record for most three-pointer made (46) in the competition's history, but what she is really looking forward to is her fourth Olympic gold medal.
Three games into the Rio Games, the 34-year-old not only leads the Olympic reigning champions USA with 17.7 points per game but has already hit 14 three-pointers in three games to add to her record.
Ahead of Friday's game against Canada, the Phoenix Mercury shooting guard shared her thoughts with FIBA.com
Taurasi is playing in her fourth Olympics
FIBA.com: Looking at the USA playing here in Rio, it suggests you will surpass your 40-0 Olympics record. How does that make you feel?
Taurasi: We are getting better every game. We are getting more comfortable with each other.. we are starting to figure out things that work and don’t work. There are things that we need to get better at.
FIBA.com: Very few players have the honour of playing at four Olympics. Adriana Pinto is taking part in her fifth Olympics and this is your fourth. What has it been like competing in Rio?
Taurasi: Hopefully, I'll get another gold medal. It's been a long career. I have been really lucky to be on these great teams. So it's been fun and hopefully we keep it going.

FIBA.com: You keep making three-pointers as if it was the easiest thing to do. Are you paying any attention to the three-point record conversation at all? You made 6 of 10 against Serbia.
Taurasi: Not really, on this team every night is different. We have some great players, so many scorers. [Against Serbia] was my night, but it could be anyone.
FIBA.com: The USA beat Serbia 110-84. What was it like going up against your Phoenix Mercury teammate Sonja Petrovic of Serbia?
Taurasi: Sonja, she is just so tough. She can shoot, she can drive. She is one of the most versatile players I have ever seen. I have known her for a long time.
