VIDNOE (2015 FIBA U19 Women's World Championship) - USA captain A'ja Wilson led her team safely into the Quarter-Finals of the 2015 FIBA U19 Women's World Championship after starring in an 89-39 win against Argentina.
Turning point: Argentina did a decent job in the opening minutes of preventing USA from getting hot early, but after five more minutes of action, USA had taken a stranglehold and were 28-4 ahead and effectively out of sight by the conclusion of the opening quarter.
Stats Don’t Lie: USA showed little mercy when Argentina committed turnovers and scored 27 points from them - the same number as their opponents spilled the ball.
Game Heroes: Wilson finished with 18 points on 70 percent shooting, while Ali Patberg and Napheesa Collier both finished with economical near double-doubles of 11 points and nine boards
The Bottom Line: Argentina were predictably a long way off the pace and especially in the paint, where their lack of size offered their Americas rivals no end of mismatches to exploit. The Classification Round may be viewed as respite as they gun for a first success at the fifth attempt. USA just continue rolling past everyone as they edge close to the business end of the tournament, when they will anticipate a firmer test of their credentials and next up are neighbours Canada.
