MAPUTO (Mozambique) - The Draw ceremony for the this year's Women's AfroBasket and AfroCan will take place on Friday, June 9 in Maputo.
It's one of a number of activities of the 18th FIBA Africa Congress taking place in the Mozambican capital, Africa's basketball governing body announced.
The live streamed draw will start at 9 pm (GMT+2) on FIBA Youtube Chanel.
The 12-nation 2023 FIBA Women's AfroBasket will take place in Kigali, Rwanda from July 28 to August 6.
Meanwhile the second edition of the FIBA AfroCan will take place in Angola between July 8 to 16.
So far, teams qualified for the Women's AfroBasket include Rwanda, Nigeria, Mali, Cameroon, Senegal, DR Congo, Egypt and Mozambique. The remaining four slots will be determined through regional qualifiers over the next few weeks.
Teams qualified, so far, for the 2023 AfroCan are as follows: DR Congo, Kenya, Angola, Morocco, Cameroon, Mozambique. The twelve-team line-up will be compete through qualifiers.
