VIENNA (Austria) - A number of teams have qualified for this year's biggest event, but coveted tickets still remain for the FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2023 in Vienna, Austria, on May 30-June 4.
VIENNA (Austria) - A number of teams have already qualified for this year's biggest event, but coveted tickets still remain for the FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2023 in Vienna, Austria, on May 30-June 4.
There will be 40 countries - 20 per gender - competing in the eighth edition of the showpiece event, where there will be added incentive with the medalists qualifying for the Olympic Qualifying Tournament for the Paris Games 2024.
So far 17 countries from each gender have qualified for this year's World Cup with the remaining spots to be determined at the FIBA 3x3 World Cup Qualifier 2023 on May 6-7 in Eilat, Israel.
In the men's, Australia qualified for the World Cup 2023 after memorably winning last year's FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup in Singapore, while Madagascar earned a ticket after winning the FIBA 3x3 Africa Cup 2022.

Other nations include hosts Austria and five-time winners Serbia.
Men: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, France, Germany, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Madagascar, Mongolia, Netherlands, Poland, Puerto Rico, Serbia, Switzerland, USA.
In the women's, China qualified after beating Australia in an unforgettable final at the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup 2022, while Egypt claimed a spot by taking out the continental crown in Africa.
Other countries include defending FIBA 3x3 World Cup champions France and Olympic gold medalists USA.
