MIES (Switzerland) - FIBA's Equipment & Venue Centre has announced that RSPCT Basketball has joined the FIBA family as a partner in the software category.
The RSPCT Basketball solution can assist players, coaches and teams in more effective shot tracking precision. RSPCT can turn any basket into a smart basket with optical sensors placed on the backboard that track the accuracy of every shot in high precision and in real-time. This data provides a deeper analysis of a player's shooting compared to using simple field goal percentage statistics. It also helps in determining the player's real quality and potential, which adjustments need to be made, and allows for immediate corrections.
Since the feedback provided is immediate and visual, its gamification elements make shooting more fun and makes changes or adjustments more effective. RSPCT has been successful with players and teams at all levels across multiple continents.

"As we aim to reach and assist every player, every basket and every competition, FIBA's Equipment & Venue Centre is the perfect partner," said Oren Moravchik, CEO of RSPCT Basketball.
A software engineer by trade, Moravchik says he dreamt of bringing rifle shooting technology to basketball for 20 years and started working on it in 2015. He received assistance and support from Israel's top sports tech figures and industry leaders.
RSPCT and FIBA joined forces at the FIBA 3x3 World Cup in 2019, deploying the system at the event in Amsterdam. It also has been used at other competitions in multiple geographies and tiers.
