Owner and head coach of Dolphins Basketball, Aboderin was known for his passion and dedication to basketball.

His Dolphins Basketball side last featured at FIBA Africa Champions Cup for Women in 2015 in Luanda, Angola, where they finished in Fifth-Place as a result of a 6-2 record.

According to the Punch daily - owned by Aboderin, the philanthropist died after a heart surgery.
He is survived by his wife, Titilayo and two daughters, Nicole and Cherelle.
