A week after winning the 2019 edition of the FIBA Women's AfroBasket, Nigeria women's team 21-20 triumph over Mali in Sunday's final meant their first-ever Basketball 3X3 trophy at the All Africa Games in Rabat, Morocco.

The Nigerians reached the Championship Game on the back of knock-out games against Egypt (21-9) , Kenya (16-6).
Meanwhile their rivals Mali outclassed Uganda (21-16) and DR Congo (21-17) for the thriller final.
Their men's counterpart replicated their success by beating Mali 20-19 in the nerve-racking Third-Place Game.
In a historic more, Madagascar made a statement of their growth, basketball wise, by outscoring Egypt 21-19 and claim the tournament game.
