THE FAVORITES
It’s been 2 for 2 for France at home this season, getting victories at Marseille and Clermont-Ferrand, the latter coming just a few days ago. The Laetitia Guapo-led side went unbeaten on their way to the stop win, defeating top-seeded Canada in the final.
🇫🇷 They got it going on home turf! 💪

The sane side will take to court in Orleans, brimming with exceptional talent that gel so well together. Hortense Limouzin brings the speed that opens the field for the French side, coupled with Guapo and Marie-Eve Paget’s lethal offensive ability. Myriam Djekoundade rounds off the team with her defensive presence and playmaking.
France have been building momentum, with sights set on the imminent Paris Olympic Games in July-August.
They will take on Czechia and Austria in Pool phase action.
Canada however, still holds the top seed heading into this contest and for good reason. The two-time Women’s Series winners have found success this season, winning the opener in Springfield. They were a game away from making it two stop wins, falling short to France a few days ago.
It’ll be the same, new-look side for the Canadians. World Number one Katherine Plouffe will be joined by sharpshooting Paige Crozon. Cassandra Brown and Mackenzie Smith will also be in action next to the usual two, showcasing their defensive ability and all-round versatility in Clermont-Ferrand.

They’ll face Clermont-Ferrand and Israel in their Group phase action.
THE FIELD
The Netherlands have been an active side this season, not only in the Women’s Series but in Olympic Qualifiers as well.
The team of Loyce Bettonvil, Julia Jorritsma, Janis Ndiba and Noortje Driessen will be in action with hopes of adding a stop win to their season.
They’ve been immense in scoring, punishing opponents from inside and outside. Combined with their ball movement and defensive prowess, the Dutch are a side to look out for in Orleans.
Poland bring a similar edge to the contest, being one of the most lethal sides in the circuit. A team adept at deep range scoring while also finding their place in the paint, the Polish side with Alexandra Ziemborska, Klaudia Sosnowska, Anna Powloska and Weronika Papiernik will be a tough side to beat.
