FIBA's Oceania office to host FIBA Referee Instructor Program
GOLD COAST - FIBA's Oceania office is set to welcome 15 referee instructors from Australia and New Zealand to take part in the FIBA Referee Instructor Program (FRIP).
GOLD COAST - FIBA's Oceania office is set to welcome 15 referee instructors from Australia and New Zealand to take part in the FIBA Referee Instructor Program (FRIP).
FIBA Head of Refereeing, Carl Jungebrand will be facilitating the 6-day workshop in conjunction with FIBA Oceania Referee Manager, Albert Joseph, Simon Kirkland and Tomas Rimkus.
Some very distinguished members of the Australia and New Zealand referee communities will be attending the program, headlined by Bill Mildenhall. Holding the record the most Australian National Basketball League Referee of the Year awards, Mildenhall boasts a resume that includes refereeing at multiple Olympic games and numerous FIBA events.
The program is aimed at creating high-quality referee education at the regional, national and international level by outlining a framework for high-quality referee development.
