MIES - The FIBA Equipment and Venue Centre have made a ground-breaking decision in approving a glass floor for the first time ever.
An agreement was just signed with a producer, awarding them Associate status in the synthetic floor category. Their glass floor is now FIBA approved for level 2 and 3 competitions.
The floor has passed all required tests to be a FIBA approved sports surface. Shock absorption, vertical deformation, vertical ball behaviour and sliding properties amongst other things have been tested according to the norms required by the FIBA E&V Centre.
The glass floor is an innovative sports flooring unlike any other approved model as lines and court markings including commercial messages are shown via LED marking and can be changed from one sport to another at the switch of a button, making the floor an ideal asset for multipurpose sports facilities.
If you need more information on the product please contact the FIBA Equipment and Venue Centre.
