    Draw results in for 2016 FIBA Asia Champions Cup

    CHENZHOU-HUNAN (25th FIBA Asia Champions Cup) - The draw for the 25th FIBA Asia Champions Cup was completed at the host city of Chenzhou-Hunan in China on Thursday.

    CHENZHOU-HUNAN (25th FIBA Asia Champions Cup) - The draw for the 25th FIBA Asia Champions Cup was completed at the host city of Chenzhou-Hunan in China on Thursday.

    The 25th FIBA Asia Champions Cup, Asia's premier basketball competition for clubs, will be played from 8-16 October in the city of Chenzhou-Hunan, China.

    The results of the draw are as follows:
    Group A: 1. Petrochimi (IRI); 2. Al Riyadi (LIB); 3. ONGC (IND); 4. Al Rayyan (QAT); 5. Pauian (TPE).
    Group B: 1. Al Shorta (IRQ); 2. Barsy Atyrau (KAZ); 3. Westports Malaysia Dragons (MAS); 4. Al Ahli (UAE); 5. Xinjiang Flying Tigers (CHN).

    The Preliminary Round of the tournament will be played in a round robin format, with every team taking on its four (4) opponents in its respective group.

    The top four (4) teams from each group will then advance to the Quarter-Finals.

    The winners of the Quarter-Finals will advance to the Semi-Finals, while the losing teams in the Quarter-Finals will play 5-8 classification games.

    The 24th edition was held in 2013 in Amman, Jordan where Iranian club Foolad Mahan Isfahan emerged victorious beating Al Rayyan from Qatar in the final.
