FIBA Europe Cup Qualifying Tournament hosts announced

BC Trepca, of Kosovo, is the club that will play host to Tournament A and will face Germany's BG Gottingen in the Quarter-Finals, with the winner taking on Portugal's Sporting CP in the Semi-Finals. Iceland's Thor Thorlakshofn will go up against Petrolina AEK in the other Quarter-Final clash, with the winner then facing Telenet Giants Antwerp.
Tournament B will take place in Lithuania, with Cbet Jonava playing host and facing SCMU Craiova of Romania in the first Quarter-Final encounter. The winner will take on Kapfenberg Bulls in one Semi-Final, while in the other Sigal Prishtina await the winner of the Quarter-Final clash between KK Cedevita Junior of Croatia and Kalev/Cramo of Estonia.
Bulgaria's Rilski Sportist will host Tournament C and will play against either Greek side Aris Thessaloniki or Lithuanian side BC Wolves in one Semi-Final. The other Semi-Final encounter will see Israel's Hapoel Haifa go up against Kataja Basket of Finland.
French club Cholet Basket meanwhile will organize Tournament D and will clash with Turkey's Besiktas JK in one Semi-Final. Poland's Czarni Slupsk will do battle with Sweden's Jamtland Basket, with the winner facing Dutch side ZZ Leiden in the other Semi-Final.
All four Qualifying Tournaments will take place from September 27-30 and the teams that win the respective Finals will join the FIBA Europe Cup Regular Season.
Any additional spots in the FIBA Europe Cup Regular Season that might open up after the completion of the BCL Qualification Tournaments will be taken up by the losing teams in the Finals of the Qualifying Tournaments, according to the criteria in Section D of the Official Basketball Rules.
The 2022-23 edition of the FIBA Europe Cup Regular Season is set to get underway on October 12.
