Four teams have positions confirmed in FIBA Europe Cup Regular Season

MUNICH (FIBA Europe Cup) – Following the addition of three teams to the Basketball Champions League (BCL) Regular Season, four teams now also have their entrance guaranteed to the FIBA Europe Cup Regular Season.
Hungarian clubs Egis Kormend and Sopron KC, along with Turkish club Demir Insaat Buyukcekmece and Romanian club BC Mures, who had been set to play for two spots in the FIBA Europe Cup Regular Season through a Qualification Round, have now instead had their places confirmed in the Regular Season.
The news comes after an additional three clubs were confirmed to participate in the inaugural season of the BCL, leading to a change in the BCL Regular Season from 32 teams to 40.
This now means that only 12 teams, instead of the original 17, will join the FIBA Europe Cup Regular Season following the BCL Qualification Round. The FIBA Europe Cup Regular Season as a consequence will now be made up of 37 teams. Each Group consists of three or four teams.
The Groups are as follows:
Group A: SL Benfica/Varese*; Alba Fehervar; Elan Chalon
Group B: Donar/Tartu**; Egis Kormend; Hubo Limburg United; BCM Gravelines Dunkerque
Group C: Kataja/Sodertalje*; Belfius Mons Hainaut; Telekom Baskets Bonn
Group D: Sopron KC; FC Porto/Juventus*; PO Antwerp Giants; Nanterre 92
Group E: Donar/Tartu/Bakken Bears*; Redwell-Gunners Oberwart; Elan Bearnais Pau-Lacq Orthez
Group F: Oradea/Prievidza**; Lukoil/Oradea/Prievidza*; Steaua CSM Bucharest; Bnei Herzliya
Group G: Petrolina AEK/Cluj**; Usak/Petrolina AEK/Cluj*; Gaziantep Basketbol; KB Peja
Group H: Demir Insaat Buyukcekmece; Rilski/Tsmoki**; Enisey Krasnoyarsk; KB Sigal Prishtina
Group I: BC Mures; Igokea/Mornar*; BSC Prienai; TLU/Kalev Tallinn
Group J: Apoel Nicosia; Rilski/Tsmoki/Nahariya*; BC Siauliai; BK JIP Pardubice
*The winner of these pairings move into the BCL Regular Season, whilst the loser goes into the FIBA Europe Cup Regular Season.

The FIBA Europe Cup Regular Season will commence on Wednesday 19 October.
