    Rosters finalized ahead of FIBA U20 Women's European Championship 2023 in Lithuania

    KLAIPEDA / VILNIUS (Lithuania) - The rosters of the 16 participating teams at the FIBA U20 Women's European Championship 2023 have been confirmed with the tournament set to tip off on Saturday.

    KLAIPEDA / VILNIUS (Lithuania) - The rosters of the 16 participating teams at the FIBA U20 Women's European Championship 2023 have been confirmed with the tournament set to tip off on Saturday in Lithuania.

    The event will take place from July 29 – August 6, with the cities of Klaipeda and Vilnius providing the backdrop.

    Group A: Czech Republic, Israel, Portugal, Serbia
    Group B: Finland, France, Hungary, Lithuania
    Group C: Montenegro, Poland, Spain, Sweden
    Group D: Belgium, Italy, Latvia, Turkey

    Defending champions have the best track record in the age category with nine titles to their name and have been crowned champions in eight of the last 10 editions. 

    They defeated Czech Republic in last year's Final in Sopron, Hungary, while 2019 winners Italy rounded out the podium.

    The participating teams were drawn into four groups of four teams for the Group Phase, which will take place from July 29 – August 1 with a rest day scheduled after the first two gamedays.

    The Final Phase will commence with the Round of 16 on August 2 and the Quarter-Finals on August 4 with another rest day in between. The competition will transition directly into the Semi-Finals, with the champions crowned in Klaipeda a day later on August 6.

    Meanwhile, the FIBA U20 Women's European Championship 2023, Division B is already underway with the tournament in Craiova, Romania tipping off a day earlier.
