    Semi-Finals lineup confirmed in Skopje as quartet continue promotion push

    SKOPJE (North Macedonia) - There were celebrations for Turkey, Israel, Montenegro and Slovenia after they punched their tickets to the Semi-Finals of the FIBA U20 Women's European Championship Division B.

    SKOPJE (North Macedonia) - There were celebrations for Turkey, Israel, Montenegro and Slovenia after they punched their tickets to the Semi-Finals of the FIBA U20 Women's European Championship Division B.

    The still flawless Turkey had to work hard to see off Germany 68-62, managing to get the precious victory despite being out-muscled on the glass. Sude Yilmaz top scored for her team with 15 points, while Luisa Nufer was the game's highest scorer with 16 points in defeat.

    Turkey will now face Slovenia in Saturday's Semi-Finals after maintaining their perfect record intact by beating North Macedonia 63-36 and shattering the promotion dreams of the hosts. It was one-way traffic from the start and Mnca Vrecer continued her good tournament with 11 points and a massive 17 rebounds. 

    Yarden Garzon showed out with a huge display for Israel to end the promotion hopes of Greece

    Israel took down Greece 65-57 in a hard fought Quarter-Final meeting which went down to the closing moments. Israel shone down the stretch, while they also had the towering presence of Yarden Garzon who dropped 26 points, with Emma Rinat contributing 21 points. The outcome was tough on Ioanna Chatzileonti who had 18 points and 13 rebounds in defeat.

    It's Montenegro who stand in the way of Israel gaining promotion to the top tier, since they punched their Semi-Finals ticket with ease by coasting past Norway 85-35. Jovana Savkovic dropped four triples on her way to 16 points, 

    In the classification games, Iceland soared past Croatia 79-45 with five players posting a double-digit scoring return. There was an exciting 66-63 success for Albania against Georgia, with Ornela Muca pouring in 28 points. 

    Switzerland overwhelmed Armenia 116-62 with Viktoria Ranisavljevic accumulating 13 points, 10 rebounds and 7 steals, while Slovakia sneaked past Romania 53-50 in the last game of the day.
