    Boskovic earns top honor of MVP to lead All-Star Five

    TBILISI (Georgia) - Mihailo Boskovic collected the top honor of tournament MVP at the FIBA U20 European Championship, Division B after helping Serbia claim the title.

     

    TBILISI (Georgia) - Mihailo Boskovic collected the top honor of tournament MVP at the FIBA U20 European Championship, Division B after helping Serbia claim the title.

    The 19-year-old power forward posted 8 points and 11 rebounds in the final to take his overall tournament stats to 12.3 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1 block per game in Serbia's perfect campaign.

    There was consolation somewhat for Icelandic duo Thorvaldur Arnason and Orri Gunnarsson as they both joined Boskovic in the All-Star Five. Arnason finished the tournament with 18.2 points, 6.8 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game, while Gunnarsson had put up 16.3 points and 3.7 boards as Iceland finished as runners-up.

    Kasper Suurorg earned a place in the lineup after helping lead Estonia to promotion with tournament averages of 12.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game with his side securing third place.

    There was also a spot for Sweden's versatile forward Bo Klintman after putting up 16 points, 10 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 2.6 steals across seven appearances.
