Week 3 Top Performers: Gustafson, Thomas, Jones, Astier, Dojkic

MUNICH (Germany) - The sub-plot to the amazing performances during EuroLeague Women Week 3 is the debate as to who is the best player in the women's game right now.

Two of the main contenders both featured as top performers this gameday, including Alyssa Thomas of ZVVZ USK Praha who has went into overdrive with some spectacular displays. She carried her team to a nail-biting and exciting 73-70 triumph at Le Prado against Tango Bourges Basket, finishing the contest with a stellar 28 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals.

Meanwhile, Jonquel Jones also showed her world class talent for CBK Mersin Yenisehir Bld as they got their first win of the season by beating Basket Landes 68-61. The towering star accumulated a mammoth double-double of 24 points and 19 boards, as well as coming up with 2 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks.

It was Megan Gustafson of Olympiacos BC who actually had the highest performance efficiency valuation of this week at an excellent 38, although even her super efforts couldn't prevent a 95-89 defeat at Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding. The forward contributed 30 points and 10 rebounds.

Pauline Astier was also on the losing side for Bourges in the clash with ZVVZ USK Praha but delivered her best ever game in the competition. The guard stepped off the court with 14 points having made 7 of 9 attempts from the field, while also adding 5 rebounds and 5 assists. 

Finally, Croatian ace Ivana Dojkic was the inspiration behind Virtus Segafredo Bologna taking their first ever Regular Season victory after she poured in 24 points in a memorable and landmark 88-69 success at BC Polkowice
