The perennial champions of Hungary made history with a 60-55 triumph over Final Four hosts Fenerbahce Safiport in Sunday’s title-decider to become the first Hungarian club to win the competition.

Playing in their fourth consecutive Final Four, Sopron had reached the Final only on one previous occasion, losing out to UMMC Ekaterinburg in 2018.

The only other Hungarian team to reach this stage of the competition are 1979 runners-up BSE ESMA Budapest.

Gabby Williams played a big role in the Semi-Final victory against Perfumerias Avenida and delivered 16 points, 4 rebounds and 4 steals in the Final to claim the Final Four MVP honors.

Earlier in the day, last season's runners-up Perfumerias Avenida finished their EuroLeague Women campaign on a winning note, as they beat ZVVZ USK Praha 71-59 to secure a third-place finish.
