Howard crowned EuroLeague Women MVP for January

MUNICH (Germany) - Natasha Howard has been named EuroLeague Women MVP for the month of January after her performances fired Dynamo Kursk to the cusp of the Quarter-Finals.

MUNICH (Germany) - Natasha Howard has been named EuroLeague Women MVP for the month of January after her performances ensured Dynamo Kursk a spot in the Quarter-Finals.

The forward takes the honor after coming up with some outstanding numbers during the period - something which has been typical of a red-hot campaign that has her ranked among the league leaders in efficiency, points and rebounds.

While Dynamo Kursk fell in their opening game of the new calendar year on their home court with a narrow loss to Sopron Basket, they have since picked up a pair of precious road wins at both Beretta Famila Schio and Spar Girona.

Their good work has been largely due to Howard and her eye-catching form has seen her named to the USA camp for the forthcoming FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2022 Qualifying Tournaments.

During January, Howard averaged a sparkling double-double of 25.0 points and 14.7 rebounds, which resulted in a superb performance efficiency valuation of 29.7 per game.

Howard is the fourth winner of the accolade so far this season, with her Kursk teammate Eva Lisec having landed the October honor, followed by Sandrine Gruda of Beretta Famila Schio in November and then Brionna Jones of ZVVZ USK Praha in December.
