MUNICH (Germany) - The new EuroCup Women season will be graced by the presence of countless top level players and that means fans can immerse themselves in enjoying the array of talent on show.

From seasoned veterans who have done it all before to some of the best rising stars on the continent, here are just some of the players that you should check out when the action gets underway.

Julie Vanloo - Galatasaray Cagdas Factoring

    GUARD
    Height: 1.68cm / 5ft 6in
Date of Birth: February  10, 1993

Fresh from playing a central role in delivering a glorious maiden FIBA Women's EuroBasket trophy for the Belgian Cats, Vanloo can now turn her efforts into ensuring Galatasaray Cagdas Factoring have another strong EuroCup Women run. Her experience, leadership, creativity and the outside shooting that illuminated events so majestically in Tel Aviv and Ljubljana could all help the Istanbul side flourish.

    Stephanie Mawuli - Movistar Estudiantes

    FORWARD
    Height: 1.82cm / 6ft 0in
Date of Birth: November 25, 1998

The addition of the Japan national team forward to the Movistar Estudiantes roster is exciting for the club's supporters, but also for fans of the women's game. Aside from the fact not many Japanese players step out in European club competition, Mawuli plays with a high-octane and exciting style that will stuff the highlights reel - as she has also done regularly at international level, including 3x3.

    Jovana Nogic - Besiktas JK

    GUARD
    Height: 1.81cm / 5ft 11in
Date of Birth: December 17, 1997

The Serbian guard has already cemented herself as the go-to baller for Besiktas JK and when she lines up alongside the talented Dana Evans, it will be a highly potent combination for the Turkish side. Nogic is always willing to take the responsibility on her shoulders, will not only look to put points on the board, but will also contribute in other areas, like passing the rock or grabbing boards and steals.

Faith Ehi Etute - T71 Diddeleng

    FORWARD
    Height: 1.83cm / 6ft 0in
Date of Birth: October 24, 2005

A phenomenal talent who has shown what she is capable of at the youth level for her country with some spectacular displays for many of the past summers, Etute is now doing it at senior level. Both for Luxembourg and also last year in EuroCup Women when she put up some eye-catching numbers. She can score, rebound for fun and despite being a teenager, will lead T71 Diddeleng and is fun to watch.

Jennie Simms - Elitzur Landco Ramla

    FORWARD
    Height: 1.84cm / 6ft 0in
Date of Birth: April 21, 1994

Last season, Simms was unstoppable at times and accumulated a rare triple-double not once, but twice when wearing the colors of Elitzur Holon. Now it will be rivals Ramla that benefit from her all-action style and ability to clock jaw-dropping numbers. After disappointment with Israel at the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2023, the forward will be ready to remind everyone of her influence.

Anete Steinberga - Tango Bourges Basket

    FORWARD
    Height: 1.90cm / 6ft 3in
Date of Birth: January 29, 1990

One of the most consistent high performers in the European game for many years, the Latvian leader is a physical presence who will once again propel Bourges inside the paint. Her ability to matchup defensively with opponents because of her physique and know-how is essential, while double-doubles are likely to be incoming because of her scoring touch and willingness to go to work on the glass.

    Megan Gustafson - London Lions

    FORWARD
    Height: 1.90cm / 6ft 3in
Date of Birth: December  13, 1996

Multiple seasons of being one of the leading players in EuroLeague Women means that you can count on Gustafson to make a strong play for EuroCup Women MVP if Lions make a deep run. They have every chance of doing this with the powerful forward in situ, since she is usually a very efficient scorer due to her smarts and strength around the basket. She will also add a nice number of rebounds.

Matilde Villa - Umana Reyer Venezia

    GUARD
    Height: 1.70cm / 5ft 7in
Date of Birth: December 9, 2004

A large chunk of Italy's hopes of challenging for podium finishes in coming  years rests on the shoulders of this young playmaker. She made her major tournament debut at FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2023 alongside excelling as usual at youth level. Now it's re-focusing on becoming a bona fide star of EuroCup Women with Umana Reyer. A top quality prospect, she can create and score in so many ways.

    Kyara Linskens - Lattes-Montpellier

    CENTER
    Height: 1.93cm / 6ft 4in
Date of Birth: November 13, 1996

Back with Lattes-Montpellier for another season but this time as a reigning FIBA Women's EuroBasket champion, Linskens continues to impress for club and country. Her size is always a big advantage and with her superb reading of the game, she managed to block shots and be a defensive power. Offensively she will be a primary contributor for Montpellier and a real centerpiece of their challenge.

Tiffany Mitchell - Galatasaray Cagdas Factoring

    GUARD
    Height: 1.75cm / 5ft 9in
Date of Birth: September 24, 1994

The guard was exceptional in EuroCup Women previously, racking up almost 20 points per game in 2020-21 for Elitzur Ramla. Back after playing in Australia for a couple of seasons, expect her to pick up the baton at Galatasaray and look to check back in where she left off. Mitchell can be dominant in any game because of her extensive skill set and application so will be top of many scouting reports.
