    Ramla roll into Round of 16, exciting last day of Regular Season ahead

    MUNICH (Germany) - Ramla recorded an emphatic victory to secure their place in the Round of 16, while several clubs registered first wins to set up what promises to be an absorbing last day of the Regular

    MUNICH (Germany) - Ramla recorded an emphatic victory to secure their place in the Round of 16, while several clubs registered first wins to set up what promises to be an absorbing last day of the Regular Season.

    The Israeli club joined Valencia Basket and Saint-Amand Hainaut Basket in the next stage of the competition by dismantling  Orman Genclik 97-63 in Group B.

    Their progress was made possible through Betnijah Laney who headlined with a  superb 22 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists, while Dewanna Bonner impressed alongside her fellow forward with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists.

    In Group A, a win for Bellona Kayseri Basketbol would have seen them progress, but they suffered the setback of an 88-71 defeat to KSC Szekszard. A slow start cost them, along with Cyesha Goree being a towering presence in the paint for KSC with 17 points and15 rebounds, while Slovenian rising star Zala Friskovec showed out with 30 points.

    In the same group, Beatrice Mompremier propelled Uni Gyor to a first win with 24 points and 10 rebounds, as the Hungarian hosts proved too powerful for BC Prometey by striding past them 83-56.

    Elazig Il Ozel Idare made it two wins in two games as they eased out InvestInTheWest Enea Gorzow 88-76. The  Turkish club has Kelsey Mitchell to thank as she sunk 24 points , while Jelena Dubljevic added 25 points, 6 assists and 5 boards. Megan Gustafson was impressive despite the loss, with 26 points and 13 rebounds for Gorzow.

    KP Brno could have advanced to the next phase with a victory, and also sent Elazig through. However they were outlasted 78-72 by MBA Moscow, despite a healthy 22 points and 11 rebounds from Emily Potter. It was Varvara Psareva who excelled for the Russians with 13 points and 10 boards.


    Group F is looking well balanced after Lointek Gernika Bizkaia picked up a vital 57-50 triumph against Carolo Basket as Brazilian veteran Nadia Colhado produced a stunning double-double of 21 points and 15 rebounds.

    Meanwhile Tenerife got their first ever Regular Season win in the competition by shooting down Roche Vendee Basket 81-66 as Asia Taylor landed 18 points and 10 rebounds.
