MUNICH (Germany) - The seedings have been set ahead of the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Pre-Qualifiers Third Round draw, which is to take place on Tuesday, April 25.
The draw will be streamed live on the official FIBA YouTube channel from 14:00 CET.
The seedings, as per the FIBA World Ranking Men, presented by Nike, are as follows:
Seed 1: Croatia; Bulgaria; Romania; Switzerland
Seed 2: Denmark; Slovakia; Austria; Luxembourg
Seed 3: Kosovo; Norway; Ireland; Albania
The 12 nations will be drawn into four groups of three teams each with home-and-away games played in the Round Robin format.
The Third Round of the Pre-Qualifiers is set to take place across six gamedays from July 19 to August 5.
As Bulgaria and Croatia are also participating in the FIBA Pre-Olympic Qualifying Tournaments in August 2023, these two national teams and the other teams in the relevant seed will be pre-assigned the relevant competition numbers. This is in order not to have a game on the last gameday and allow for more rest between the competitions.
Four teams - the winner of each group - will join the four teams from the Second Round to complete the 32-team field for the Qualifiers along with the 24 teams that played in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers Second Round.
