Valanciunas, Sabonis together again as Lithuania name 16 for EuroBasket

The frontcourt duo are set to rekindle their partnership once more for the national team having last suited up together at last year's FIBA Olympic Basketball Qualifying Tournament on home soil in 2020.

Kazys Maksvytis will get his team together later this month as they also commence the Second Round of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers in August with games against Hungary and Montenegro.
Ignas Brazdeikis is included after making a senior debut for Lithuania during the recent Qualifiers window. Marius Grigonis adds experience to the squad having played at the last EuroBasket edition alongside Mindgaugas Kuzminskas, while 21-year-old Rokas Jokubaitis is in contention for a tournament debut.

Lithuania begin their quest to win EuroBasket for the first time since 2003 when they head to Cologne, Germany to take on the Group B hosts as well as France, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Hungary.
