    Germany complete EuroBasket roster as Theis gets all-clear

    MUNICH (Germany) - Germany have announced their final 12-player roster ahead of the start of FIBA EuroBasket 2022 on Thursday.

    The tournament co-hosts warmed up for the event with an impressive win over Slovenia in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers with the two teams set to meet again in Cologne.


    Daniel Theis has overcome an injury issue to make the final roster with the forward joining influential stars Dennis Schroder and 21-year-old Franz Wagner in the lineup.

    The likes of Johannes Voigtmann, Maodo Lo and Johannes Thiemann were part of the 2017 roster alongside Schroder as Germany made it to the Quarter-Finals with hopes of making it to Berlin for the knockout stages the minimum expectation.

    Germany's opening game is against France on Thursday as they also take on Slovenia, Lithuania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Hungary in a tough Group B in Cologne.
