MUNICH (Germany) - The focus at FIBA EuroBasket 2022 turns back to the groups in Milan and Prague in Monday's action as the excitement continues in the wide-open tournament.
After the thrills and upsets on Day 4, continue to expect the unexpected with four teams looking to preserve their unbeaten records, while four teams chase their first wins.
Czechs in must-win territory on home soil
Two defeats from their opening two games have left Czech Republic in a precarious position in regards to their pursuit of a spot in the knockout stages. Tomas Satoransky sat out the loss to Serbia and will be a major boost if those extra couple of days of rest have aided the recovery.
Netherlands are in a similar situation following their 0-2 start and are in desperate need themselves of putting an end to a long losing streak in competitive action.
Serbia's unbeaten start to be tested by Markkanen, Finland
Serbia have been impressive in Prague so far with two wins to their name with minimal fuss in beating Netherlands and Czech Republic. Their next two games should be interesting as they take on Finland and Israel, who have both started well.
Sasu Salin helped Finland overcome their opening defeat as they bounced back in dominant fashion against Poland. Lauri Markkanen has been one of the top performers all summer and goes up against Nikola Jokic as they battle to lead their teams to an all-important victory.
What else is happening?
The other game in Group D sees Israel looking to extend their unbeaten start against a Poland side that were on the wrong end of a heavy defeat against Finland at the weekend.
In Group C, unbeaten Greece take on winless Great Britain, while the hosts Italy look to bring Ukraine's perfect start to an end. Croatia got their first win on the board on Saturday and can double their tally if they overcome Estonia, who have started 0-2.
