    Mali make just one change to U16 team

    BAMAKO (2016 FIBA U17 World Championship) - Mali head coach Zoumana Coulibaly made just one change to the historic team which qualified the nation for its competition debut at the 2016 FIBA U17 World Championship.

    Abdoul Karim Coulibaly will serve as the captain of the 12-man roster for Mali, who grabbed second place at the 2015 FIBA Africa U16 Championship. Coulibaly was the leading scorer of last summer’s team, while Moulaye Mamadou Sissoko was second in scoring and first in rebounds and Makan Keita led the team in assists.

    The only player from the U16 team that coach Zoumana Coulibaly swapped out was Aboubacar Kassim Djire, replacing him with 2001-born N’Faly Dante.

    Mali will take on Argentina, Lithuania and Spain in Group B in their debut U17 Worlds appearance.
