    Leeseul Kang erupted for a record-breaking efficiency score of 44 as she finished with 37 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals in a 99-66 win against Bosnia and Herzegovina. The victory ended an 11 game losing streak for the Asian side which spanned four editions of the FIBA Women's World Cup.

    Mali fell 74-59 to France, but posed some real challenges to their opponents after a monumental double-double of 18 points and 18 rebounds from forward Sika Kona.

    Kyara Linskens helped Belgium dodge a bullet as they slipped past Puerto Rico 68-65, with the center racking up a powerful double-double of 24 points and 13 rebounds, Meanwhile in the same game, Arella Guirantes posted another classy display in defeat for Puerto Rico after harvesting an all-action 27 points, 10 boards, 4 assists and 4 steals.

    Finally, A'ja Wilson played her first game of the tournament for USA and made an instant impact with a quality contribution. She registered 20 points and 8 rebounds in the 77-63 success against China.
