    Game Report

YAOUNDE (AfroBasket Women 2015) - Senegal on Tuesday clinched their third victory at AfroBasket Women 2015 Group B beating Egypt 84-72.

Less than 24 hours after losing to rivals Nigeria, Senegal outplayed Egypt from start to finish, leading as many as 29 points.

Turning Point: Senegal stepped on floor in a desperation mode rolling to a 9-0 run in the first two minutes of the contest.

Although Egypt rallied for most of the contest, losing by just 12 points, the game belonged to Aya Traore, who made  12 of her 21 points from beyond the arc.

Stats Don't Lie: Egypt's lethal three-point shooting did not work out against Senegal as they made only 2 of 10.

Astou Traore, who only scored her first two points in the third quarter against Nigeria less than 24 hours, stepped up to finish with a team-high 22 points.

Game Hero: Aya Traore made Senegal's first two three-points in the first quarter, igniting her team to a comfortable 45-29 half-time lead.

Bottom Line: It was a must-win for Senegal, who fell short to title contenders Angola and Nigeria. Beating Egypt, the tournament cinderella , not only boosts the morale of Traore and the rest of the crew moving forward in the competition, but it means Senegal remain alive at AfroBasket Women 2015.
Both Senegal and Egypt close their Group Phase campaigns with a 3-2 marks apiece.
