    BAMAKO (Tournoi International 3x3 Basketball U18 – Trophée Salamatou Maiga) – Democratic Republic of Congo’s men and Mali’s women emerged winners at the Tournoi International 3x3 Basketball U18 – Trophée Salamatou Maiga at the Palais des Sports of Bamako on September 21-23.

    For their first appearance at this continental youth event DR Congo took Bamako by storm to claim their maiden title after seeing off hosts Mali 17-13.

    Siriman Kanoute, who was named. Nigeria clinched bronze medal after beating Niger in the 3rd place game 21-10.

    In the women's category, Mali claimed their third title in a row as they came up with a perfect 6-0 Mark. They hosts knocked off RD Congo in the Final 19- 11, while two-time runners-up Nigeria saw off Rwanda 17-11 in the 3rd place game.

    Nigeria’s Fumnanya Ijeh returned home with the MVP trophy thanks to her stellar performance throughout the tournament.
