MUNICH (Germany) - The race to make FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025 is at the last stage and so it's now or never for those nations still in contention for a spot at this summer's prestigious showcase.
The third and last of three Qualifiers windows is about to drop, with games taking place on Thursday, February 6 and Sunday, November 9.
The full schedule of games is available here and this is how each group looks heading into the final games.
Group A
Key game in Window 3: Netherlands vs Croatia | Thursday, February 6 (19:30 CET) Player to watch: Emese Hof (NED)
Who can qualify? With Spain looking like locks to take first place, with only a highly improbable double defeat in this last window denying them a ticket, it's all eyes on Croatia and Netherlands. They are both striving for runners-up spot and whoever makes it will then have to see if it is good enough to advance. That is why their meeting is absolutely crunch and should be an amazing battle, with Emese Hof the mostly likely player to inspire a Dutch victory.
Group B
Key game in Window 3: Hungary vs Finland | Thursday, February 6 (18:00 CET) Player to watch: Awak Kuier (FIN)
Who can qualify? Hold on to your hats! While Slovenia are in the driver's seat, Group B is absolutely wide-open and depending on results during Gameday 5, we could head into the last day of the qualifiers with a dramatic four-way tie as a possibility. Arguably the most pivotal game will be Hungary hosting Finland, with no margin for error for the home side and 2023 Semi-Finalists. With a baller like Awak Kuier, the visiting Susiladies will be looking to post an upset.
Group C
Key game in Window 3: Lithuania vs Poland | Thursday, February 6 (17:30 CET) Player to watch:Juste Jocyte (Lithuania)
Who can qualify? Group C is almost likely to now effectively hinge on the Lithuania matchup with Poland, with the outcome answering a lot of questions. The first meeting was a classic and Lithuania escaped with a thrilling and tight victory - another one here and they would almost lock in their spot. Similarly if Poland extract revenge, they would be in a great position with winless Azerbaijan up last. Reigning champs Belgium look like a 1-2 lock, so it's all to play for!
Group D
Key game in Window 3: Denmark vs Great Britain | Sunday, February 9 (14:00 CET) Player to watch: Temi Fagbenle (Great Britain)
Who can qualify? With Sweden having already snapped up a ticket during the last window, the spotlight will be fixed on Great Britain who are still hoping that with a pair of wins against Denmark and Estonia can see them being one of the best runners-up in the qualifiers. But caution is advised, since their opponents could prove to be a fly in the ointment and are capable of causing a shock - as Estonia did to the Brits in a previous campaign. Have GB got what it takes?
Group E
Key game in Window 3: Israel vs Latvia | Thursday, February 6 (18:30 CET) XXX Player to watch: Kitija Laksa (LAT)
Who can qualify? France are about as close as you can possibly be to taking a ticket, without being mathematically guaranteed and with their talent and depth, nobody would back against them sailing through. It means that realistically, Latvia and Israel will face each other in a direct battle for runners-up and that could be epic. Especially since in the first meeting, Latvia only just scraped past their rivals. But can Israel slow down the in-form Kitija Laksa?
Group F
Key game in Window 3: Slovakia vs Iceland | Sunday, February 9 (18:00 CET) Player to watch: Terezia Palenikova (SVK)
Who can qualify? Türkiye are already qualified and that means there is a lot of work to do for Slovakia in what looks to be a bitter-sweet task. They have one of the worst basket differences of all likely or potential runners-up, but that pill is sugared a little by having two very winnable games against Romania and Iceland to finish their campaign. Can they get the two wins they crave, but most importantly, can they get two big wins to put themselves in contention?
Group G
Key game in Window 3: Portugal vs Serbia | Sunday, February 9 (18:00 CET) Player to watch: Yvonne Anderson (SRB)
Who can qualify? Serbia are big favorites to finish the job and book their spot having not yet tasted defeat in the first two windows. But Portugal are ready to make waves too, most realistically by moving their way into the runners-up spot and if they win both of their home games against Ukraine and Serbia. That last one could be huge, since it's not only about winning, but being competitive and avoiding a big loss like they suffered on the road in the first matchup.
Group H
Key game in Window 3: Montenegro vs Luxembourg | Sunday, February 9 (16:00 CET) Player to watch: Amanda Cahill (LUX)
Who can qualify? With only Bosnia and Herzegovina out of contention, Group H has the capacity to be the most captivating of all. Luxembourg are out to make history by advancing and have a huge and surprise win against Montenegro to their name, but on the flip-side, a disappointing loss to Switzerland. The Swiss will likely need a double victory in this window to have a chance, while Montenegro might need to win big and improve their basket difference.
Group I
Key game in Window 3: Czechia vs Greece | Thursday, February 6 (18:00 CET) Player to watch: Emma Cechova (CZE)
Who can qualify? Even if there is no qualification on the line for this year's co-hosts, pride and preparation are still both hugely important elements. Perhaps most of all for Czechia who will not want to post a winless campaign heading into the summer. They have an opportunity to get their first win when they face Greece in host city Brno.
