Australia v France
These two teams aren't necessarily unknown to each other and have some business to finish in Rio de Janeiro. Four years ago, the French upset the Opals in the Group Phase at the London Olympics as part of their silver medal run, while Australia returned home with a bronze. A lot has changed since then, starting with Australia's 76-67 win last month in the build-up to the Rio Olympics. The teams head into this Group A match-up both with 2-0 records. Although the French have shown tremendous resilience early in the competition, Australia's fast pace game combined with Liz Cambage's dominance in the paint should prove too much for Les Bleues.
Brazil v Belarus
Local fans have done everything in their power to spark Brazil, but for some reason, the hosts have lacked focus in critical moments of their opening two games and as a result are yet to register a win. Taking on Belarus, who also lost their two contests so far, means this is a must-win situation for both teams.
Turkey v Japan
Turkey must win today's game to keep alive their hopes of getting through to the Final Phase. But how they can overcome the Asian champions is something the Turks haven't demonstrated they can do in their first two outings, in which they showed a tremendous resilience, but struggled with their rotation.
