Angola will host the FIBA AfroBasket in 2025.
In a statement, Moniz Silva said: "This result, the result of the votes of the provincial federations, clubs and other members of the voting community, reflects the confidence in the work done and the strategic vision presented for the future of the sport.
"With your eyes firmly fixed on the future, we will continue to work to Strengthen the country's sports infrastructure; Increase the scope of training for athletes and coaches; Promote national and international competitions; Promote the decentralisation of the sport so that basketball is present throughout the country; Motivate and support clubs, athletes and federations for sustainable development".
