MIES (Switzerland) - Week 8 of the 2024-25 Basketball Champions League season is now in the books, and now that we've digested Tuesday's and Wednesday's action, Thursday brings us a chance to reflect on the best individual performances.
The eighth Team of the Week consists of Elijah Mitrou-Long, Dylan Ennis, Brandon Randolph, Gytis Radzevicius and Terrell Carter.
Mitrou-Long was one of Hapoel Netanel Holon's heroes as they picked up a come-from-behind win over FIT/One Wurzburg Baskets, with the crafty guard giving Holon the lead late in the game with another clutch three-pointer in his BCL career.
Speaking of clutch, Ennis went back-to-back to send UCAM Murcia to a six-point advantage over Manisa Basket, erasing their deficit from the first matchup, and putting Murcia in the driver's seat ahead of the last Gameday of the Regular Season.
Randolph was unstoppable as RASTA Vechta stayed alive in the battle for Play-Ins, taking the head-to-head over Promitheas Patras BC Vikos Cola with one game left to play. His contribution was even more impressive when you consider Vechta would've been eliminated with a defeat in Greece.
Rytas Vilnius had another crazy game with packed stands behind them, and Vilnius-born Gytis Radzevicius continued his quest towards the MVP of the Season award. The forward had impressive stats and the all-important bucket to make it +10 in the end, erasing the first matchup deficit completely.
Finally, Igokea m:tel had the most dominant big man of the day, with Carter filling the boxscore from left to right, all while saving Igokea's season. They have only two wins over their last 14 BCL games, but both were over Nanterre 92, and it could be crucial at the end of the Regular Season.
You can now vote for the Player of the Week. The winner will be announced on Friday, when the poll closes, on the official BCL social media channels: Facebook, X (Twitter) and Instagram.
