TEAMS
MADAGASCAR (men)
After a perfect start to pool play on Day 1, the home side continued off their hot form with dominance. They began with a 21 - 9 victory over Uganda. Elly Randriamampionona and Livio Ratianarivo both scored 8 each in the massive win.
They pulled out all stops in their game against Seychelles. A high-flying display led them to a 20 - 8 win to close off pool play in style.
KENYA (women)
The reigning champs had a mixed start to pool play on Day 1, going 1 - 1. They would need a win to cement their place in the knockout rounds and they did just that.
They took on Comoros and came away with a 15 - 10 victory. Mercy Wanyama led in scoring with 6 points as well as 5 rebounds.
It was a much-needed victory that would hand them the opportunity to go for the repeat on Day 3.

OLIVIER TURATSINZE (men)
Rwanda went 2-0 on Day 2 and the heroics of Turatsinze paved the way.
It was a 6-point contribution in their first game of the day against Egypt. It was his closing pool game that proved to be key. In a huge clash against an on-fire Algeria, the Rwanda star put up a whopping 15 points in a thrilling battle. He was the hub for his side in the 21 - 20 result and they’d be hoping to keep the form going heading into the final day tomorrow.
CHRISTIANE JAOFERA (women)
Madagascar were pitted in a marquee matchup to close off pool play as they faced Egypt. In a back-and-forth game, it was the offensive display of Jaofera that led them to a narrow win. She put up a team-high 8 points which proved to be the difference in the 18 - 17 victory.
