PARIS (France) – For the final day of competition at the Paris 2024 3x3 Olympic tournaments, hosts Greydy Diaz and former World Cup finalist Bas Rozendaal recapped Germany’s women and the Netherlands’ men’s Olympic titles on the ‘Ten-Minute Sprint’.
Germany defied all odds in Paris. Despite a slew of injuries, the team rolled to 1st place in the pool phase and never looked back. Their former teammate Alexandra Wilke and German men’s star Leon Fertig joined the show to share their pride for the team.
The Netherlands won a thrilling overtime game in the final against France (18-17) and the number 31 player in the world Julian Jaring and two-time Europe Cup silver medalist Natalie van den Adel still couldn’t believe it. They spoke at length about how much the 3x3 movement has grown in the country and how it’s become the talk in the country over the week.
Our two hosts also welcomed to the show Kyle Montgomery aka ‘The Voice of 3x3’ and 3x3 MC and streamer Vince Chang, who covered 3x3 for NBC during the Games and explained that the sport went to a whole new level in the United States in just a week.
Diaz and Rozendaal also paid tribute to the other medalists and shared their picks for MVP and team of the tournament.
