THE FAVORITES
France have been on a tear this season, having won all 3 of their home appearances this season. They’re coming out all guns blazing in Bordeaux to make it 4 in 4.
The confirmed Olympic roster of Laetitia Guapo, Hortense Limouzin, Myriam Djekoundade and Marie-Eve Paget will take to the court, looking to tune up before the big show in Paris. The side has seemed unstoppable all season and will no doubt be the standard to beat in Bordeaux.
Competition is steep though, as an on-fire Netherlands will be in action as well. Coming off their first stop win of the season in Fribourg, they’ll have their sights set on going back-to-back.
It’ll be Loyce Bettonvil, Julia Jorritsma, Zoe Slagter and a returning Kiki Fleuren who’ll represent the Dutch. Boasting a versatile side with an ability to score on the inside and on the perimeter makes them a perennial threat. Teams need to keep an eye out for the women in Orange.
THE FIELD
Germany have yet to win a stop this season, but they’ve come close as it gets and it seems like only a matter of time before they claim their first victory of the season.
It’ll be the usual side of Sonja Greinacher, Luana Rodefeld, Svenja Brunckhorst and Marie Reichert in action, a lethal side offensively with defensive tenacity.
It’ll be an Olympic tune-up for numerous sides as Spain will be vying for another stop win this season. The core of Sandra Ygueravide, Vega Gimeno, Gracia Alonso and Alba Prieto will be representing in Bordeaux.
They won their first stop of the season in Poitiers and now will be looking to make it two.
Azerbaijan will also be competing to get runs in before the Paris Olympics.
