PARIS (France) – In the latest instalment of the ‘Ten-Minute Sprint’, our live show covering the Paris 2024 3x3 Olympic tournament, hosts Greydy Diaz and former World Cup finalist Bas Rozendaal reacted to the French hosts’ historic win against Serbia in the quarter-final play-in of the men’s category.
Our guest, number 35 player in the world Andreja Milutinovic, was stunned and at a loss for words after his Serbian countrymen failed to reach the semi-finals of an international FIBA 3x3 senior national team tournament for the first time since 2014. Before that win, France were 0-10 against Serbia in 3x3 history.
Tokyo 2020 gold medallist Agnis Cavars came back to the show to preview Latvia’s semi-final against France while World Tour star Modestas Kumpys and former World Cup silver medallist Jesper Jobse shared their views on the other semi-final between Lithuania and the Netherlands.
Our two hosts broke down a lethal set play, which – coincidentally? – featured another clutch Timothé Vergiat two-pointer and handed out their player of the day awards.
To discover their picks and figure out who’s leading the fantasy and predictor games, watch the Ten-Minute Sprint Episode 8.
The ‘Ten-Minute Sprint’ will be back on Monday to celebrate the Paris 2024 Olympic medallists, vote on MVPs and the team of the tournament and of course bring you behind the scenes on Place de la Concorde. Join us live on our FIBA3x3’s social channels on Monday, after the medal ceremony, at midnight Paris time.
