SHENZHEN (China) - It's the last dance of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour 2024's regular season as anticipation builds for the Shenzhen Masters on November 16-17.
Here is all the important information for the 16th and last stop in the WT regular season.
Where can I watch the World Tour Shenzhen?
The action runs from November 16-17 and you can follow it live on the FIBA 3x3 YouTube page.
Who is competing in Shenzhen?
11 of the top 16 teams in the rankings and a total of 16 squads: Ub Huishan NE, Amsterdam, Paris, Vienna, Raudondvaris Hoptrans, Liman, Lausanne, Princeton, Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy, Kandava Turiba, NY Harlem, St Pauli, Taipei WanBao, Ermont SENEF, Al Wakrah, Kanchanaburi K2P
What are the pools?
Pool A: Ub Huishan NE (SRB), NY Harlem (USA), St Pauli (GER) Pool B: Amsterdam (NED), Kandava Turiba (LAT), Kanchanaburi K2P (THA) Pool C: Paris (FRA), Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy (MGL), QD Pool D: Liman (SRB), Princeton (USA), QD
Who are the favorites?
We just have to give the favoritism tag to the top three seeds - Ub Huishan NE (SRB), Amsterdam (NED) and Paris (FRA), who have combined to win seven titles on this season's WT. These powerhouses want to head into the Hong Kong Final with momentum, so you just know they'll bring their A-games.
But the three teams were knocked out in the quarters in NEOM, as Liman (SRB) made a dazzling run to the final but fell short of a first season title despite superstar Stefan Kojic continuing his season-long heater.
Two-time winners Vienna (AUT) just have to be given serious title contender status but they'll have to do it the hard way through QD.
Who are the players to watch?
We've got two dudes who are battling for the crown and have taken turns at the No.1 ranking - you know we're talking about Strahinja Stojacic and Worthy de Jong. The fight for the throne has never been more fierce and you just know it will go to another level in Shenzhen.
French superstar Franck Seguela is nipping at their heels and so is Nico Kaltenbrunner and Quincy Diggs who have MVPs already this season.
Speaking of MVPs, high-flyer Modestas Kumpys also has one in his pocket as he proved much more than the game's best dunker.
We've got some American entertainers in the draw starting with OG Dominique Jones who surely shared some of his tricks to Malik Hluchoweckyj. Athletic marvel Henry Caruso flies the flag these days for legendary Princeton (USA), while you just know Delgernyam Davaasambuu will leave everything on the half-court.
And the Next Gen are ready to rock 'n roll with Herve Jean-Pierre, Francis Lacis, Denzel Agyeman and Fabian Giessmann out to make big statements. FIBA
