Having knocked down six three-pointers and scored 22 points in the first half of play, Govens cooled down somewhat after the break and fell just short from the FIBA Europe Cup all-time record of 46 that belongs to Chase Fieler.
Both of the teams were involved in a run-and-gun shootout throughout the contest, but the hosts pulled away to a double-digit advantage in the second period and looked in control the rest of the way.

Le Portel obliterated Bosna 101-51 to climb to 2-1 in Group A behind a 21-point performance from Gary Chathuant and a 15-point contribution from Jean-Victor Traore, leaving their winless opponents rock bottom of the group table.
The margin of victory was not as large for Mons-Hainaut, who defeated Khimik 75-51, but there wasn't much doubt about the winner for the majority of the contest as well.
Matt Tibby had a team-high 14 points and 7 rebounds for the Belgian side, who registered their second win in three tries, while Viacheslav Petrov was the only double-digit scorer for the Ukrainians with 10 points.
