MATOSINHOS (FIBA U20 Women's European Championship) - It's a crunch day at the FIBA U20 Women's European Championship as nations either jump into the Quarter-Finals or are faced with a relegation battle.

Wednesday's winners can look forward to the double bonus of not only a potential tilt at the podium, but having stamped their ticket for the top tier in 2018, whereas those tasting defeat must try to steer themselves away from relegation to Division B.

There are some crunch ties and not least Netherlands against France, with the former trying to avoid a second successive relegation fight at the event.

Sweden only won once in Matosinhos at the 2016 edition, but did so during the Round of 16 and that will serve as a warning to the unbeaten Italy who are determined to make another deep run after landing silver last year.

There will also be a passionate and partisan atmosphere created by the locals as Portugal face Belgium off the back of their thrilling overtime win against Latvia on Monday.
