MUNICH (Germany) - Fenerbahce Safirport sailed into the EuroLeague Women Quarter-Finals on Saturday night after coasting their way past a lackluster Sopron Basket on the road.

Jumping out on their hosts with a blistering 30-11 first quarter, Fenerbahce never had cause to look back and secured an impressive 82-59 win to guarantee their participation in the next phase of the competition.

Satou Sabally was superb and the German star walked off the court having put up a stellar line of 18 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists.

Kayla McBride also continues to impress, adding 22 points. There was little to cheer for Sopron, other than that they at least still have an opportunity to join Fenerbahce in the last eight.

Dynamo Kursk continued their hot run of form by claiming an excellent and exciting 71-66 road victory at Spar Girona. The triumph was the Russian club's fifth win in six games and had Sopron beaten Fenerbahce, they would have already wrapped up a Quarter-Finals ticket.

In a roller-coaster game that was eventually decided in crunch time, Arike Ogunbowale came up with some big plays for Kursk to help them get the job done.

However it was a towering performance from Natasha Howard that truly made the difference as the forward contributed a dazzling double-double of 33 points and 19 rebounds to disappoint Girona fans, although their Quarter-Final hopes are still alive.

Earlier in the day, it was top against bottom in Group A and the gulf in quality was highlighted as UMMC Ekaterinburg roared their way to a one-sided 89-52 home success against KSC Szekszard.

While the still winless visitors had stunned their hosts by taking a lead at the end of the opening period, UMMC soon pushed their foot on the accelerator to assume control and eventually move to a flawless 12-0 record.

It was Emma Meesseman who did the damage as the Belgian star claimed 10 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Alex Bentley also lit it up with 13 points and 9 assists.
